Ryan Charles Tholen

Tholen, Ryan Charles, 33, District Manager for Jump Start, passed away Thursday, May 11th, 2023.

Ryan was very musical and taught himself piano, violin and guitar, creating music and listening to all genres was how Ryan channelled all things emotional. Ryan also played soccer, YMCA baseball and went to Northeast Magnet High School where he was involved in theater and the law program, where he established life-long friendships. He was also an active member of the Downtown YMCA Advisory Board, Downtown Y's Men, previous personal trainer at the YMCA, fitness/body building competitor, fitness enthusiast, and recently took up cycling with his close friends.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth H. and Millie Cherryholmes and Barney Charles Tholen. Survivors include his mother, Kay Cherryholmes; father, Jeff (Lisa) Tholen; siblings, Mackenzie, Reece, Addison and many other family members.

Visitation with family is 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road, Derby, Kansas 67037. There will be a private family graveside service followed a 1:00 pm memorial service Friday, May 19 at Grace Point Church, 9035 W. Central Ave. Wichita, Kansas 67212. Reception to follow the memorial service will be at the downtown YMCA, 402 N Market St, Wichita, KS 67202.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Downtown YMCA.
