Ryan Nicholas Schroeder

Ryan Schroeder, age 39, passed away on September 6, 2025. Ryan was born in Wichita, Kansas to Mike Schroeder and Lynne Schroeder on December 1, 1985.

Ryan loved his partner, family, siblings, nieces, nephews, and pets more than anything in this world. His family was always his top priority and he would check on us every day. He genuinely loved helping others. He spent a lot of his precious time creating, and making heartfelt gifts for each of us that were truly amazing and will forever be treasured. He would also spontaneously send special surprises catered especially for those who they were meant for. He held a special place in his heart for Larry's children and sister. He also cared deeply for all of his friends; past and present. He enjoyed music, tattoos, cooking, sitting by the fire pit under the night sky, and loved creating art with old picture frames. He also enjoyed watching his favorite shows on ION and SpikeTV. He took a lot of pride in the upkeep of his home and loved to showcase his gargoyles. There are no words to express how much he will be missed and how deeply he is loved. Ryan's legacy will live on, forever entwined within all of our souls. For those who knew and loved Ryan, his light did not shine long enough on this earth, but will forever shine in our hearts and memories.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Michael Schroeder; his paternal grandparents, Rudolph and Rose Schroeder and his maternal grandparents, John and Joan Pratt.

Ryan is survived by his partner, Larry Gaines; his mother, Lynne Schroeder; his siblings, Melissa (Jake) Aguilera, Rachel Michelle Schroeder, Aaron (Tien) Schroeder; his nieces and nephews, Winter, Cole, Tuesday, Keenan, Jet, Avalon, Zaarion, and Bo; and his great-niece, Angelita. Memorial Service for Ryan Schroeder will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Smith Family Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Rd, Derby, Kansas 67037.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Kansas Humane Society in the name Ryan N. Schroeder.
