Ruth Ann Smith

Andover - Ruth Ann Smith 78, died Wednesday, September 1st, 2021. She was born November 26, 1942 to Virgil and Esther (Heck) Dorsey in Wichita, Kansas.

Ruth was a waitress for many years. She also worked as a CNA while she loved taking care of the Alzheimer patients.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Esther Dorsey; son, Joe A. Poore; grandson, Brett Poore; sister, Paula S. Manes; brother, Jack W. Hicks.

Ruth is survived by her children, LaBretta A. Poore, Chris G. Morrison (Bonnie Harpe), Tisha (Mike) McKay; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 honorary grandchildren; sisters, Marie Layton (Betty Behrens), Jessie (Dub) Shepler, and Barbara (Bob) Strong.

Visitation: Tuesday, September 7, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary 115 South Seneca Wichita, Kansas 67213. Funeral Service: 3:00 pm, Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary 115 South Seneca Wichita, Kansas 67213. Interment will be held at 1:00pm Thursday September 9, 2021 at the King Cemetery in Neosho, Missouri.
