R. Maxine Brown

Yukon, OK - R. Maxine Brown, 96, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022. She was born December 30, 1925 to Paul and Bertha Schwyhart in Belle Plaine, KS. She graduated from Mulvane High School and married Clyde J. Brown on October 26, 1945.

Maxine was active in the community with 4-H and farming. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends, whether it be playing cards and dice, or camping and fishing. You would often find her watching sports on tv and rooting for her favorite teams. One of her favorite traditions was attending the Mulvane Old Settlers Parade.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde, daughter Doris, brothers DeVerne and Raymond, and grandson Rick. She is survived by her son, Wayne (Connie) Brown, Owensboro, KY; daughter, Betty (David) Lorenz, Edmond, OK; and daughter, Donna Voss, Oklahoma City, OK. Other survivors include her grandson Scott (Katy) Schultz, granddaughter Stephanie Voss (William Tanner), and great granddaughter Skyla Schultz.
