Russell Hurd, age 89, of Mulvane, retired Boeing Company employee, passed in peace, Thursday, May 7, 2015. Visitation 1-8 PM Sunday with family receiving friends 3:30 PM – 5 PM, Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd, Mulvane. Funeral service 11 AM Monday, May 11, Our Saviour Lutheran Church. Russell was born May 17, 1925 in Burdick, KS, to Fred & Stella Hurd. He married Lily Laudemann on October 26, 1947. He is preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Hudson Russell Nash; sisters, Trudy Woodard and Charlene Renollet. Survivors include his wife, Lily; son Kent (Pam); daughter, Kim Estes (Eldon); brother, Darrell Hurd; sisters, Rosalie Day, Betty Hale and Maxine Smith; grandchildren, Lacie and Travis Nash, Christopher and Jennifer Hurd. Memorials have been established with Mulvane Senior Citizens Center, 632 E. Mulvane St., Mulvane, KS 67110 and Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 503 SE Louis Dr., Mulvane, KS 67110.
