Ruby Faye Phillips

Phillips, Ruby Faye Enlow, of Wichita, KS, peacefully entered the world of angels on November 3, 2011, while surrounded by her loving family. Visitation 1-8 PM Sunday with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Funeral service 10 AM Monday, First Baptist Church, 627 S. James, Maize, KS. Ruby was first and foremost a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and dear friend to all lives she touched. Her greatest joys were family gatherings. She loved gardening, and was a natural at floral arrangement and holiday decorating. She never found a project she wasn't willing to tackle. Ruby was born in Round Mountain, OK on November 2, 1929. She was a graduate of Vian High School. She and Bob moved to Wichita KS in 1951, and raised their four children there. She was employed at Coleman Company for 14 years. After retirement, she and Bob returned first to Tahlequah OK, then back to their roots in Vian. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary there. After Bob passed away, she relocated back to Wichita to be near family. Those who knew her will miss her sense of humor and love of life. She is survived by her children, Linda Comrfort (Randall), Barbara Phillips (Timothy Short), Robert Phillips (Cara), Connie Hawbaker (Olin), and special nieces, Carrie Alford Loofs, Tammy Mannon-Dixon and Connie Bunn; her loving sisters, Alta Enlow Alford (Grady), Bonnie White (Leland); sister-in-law, Irene Enlow Batt; she is cherished by her grandchildren, Alina Comfort, Kisha Phillips-Short, Danielle Phillips-Randleman (Toby), Matthew Phillips (Alyssa), Olin Hawbaker Jr., and Maritza Trevino, Heather Hawbaker-Wilson, Ashley Hawbaker, Rachel Hawbaker; and her great-niece, Shannon Loofs; great-grandchildren, Austin and Jordyn Wilson, Elizabeth Phillips, Aedan Randleman; nieces and nephews, Louise Day-Markham (Wade), Tom Day (Velma), Debbie Enlow-Hullinger, Ellen Enlow, Andy Joe, Rick, and Randy Mannon, Jody Enlow, Jacque Enlow-Conner, Jennifer Enlow-Schnitzer, Jason Enlow, Dakota Arizona Enlow, Mark White and Leanne White-Hait. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Phillips; father, Roy Enlow; mother, Bessie Lee Spears Enlow Mannon Davis Brown; brothers, Claude, Clyde, and Joe Enlow, and Andy Mannon; sisters, Neoma Enlow, Edith Enlow-Day; grandsons, Benjamin Phillips and Justin Phillips Short; nephews, Clarence Day, Clyde Enlow Jr.; nieces, Carmalea Enlow Smith, Wanda Day and Smith Peppler. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name to the American Cancer Society, 330 S. Main, Wichita, KS 67202 and or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202 are appreciated.
