Rubie Marie Wahl

Rubie Marie Wahl, 91 retired secretary for Cedars Home for Children in Nebraska, died Friday, March 7, 2014. Survivors include her daughter, Karla Pritchett of Aurora, CO; son, Dr. David R. Wahl and wife Deeny of Derby; sister, Mary Lou Guthrie and husband George of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandson, Alan David Wahl of Derby; 3 step-grandchildren; 5 nieces and nephews. Rubie is preceded in death by her parents Gillman and Willie Scott; husband, Robert Wahl; sister, Lorena DeLapp; brother, James Scott. A memorial is established with Carpenter Place. Viewing: 2-8pm Sunday, March 16, 2014 with family greeting friends from 3:30-5:30pm at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service: 10am Monday, March 17, 2014, also at the Mortuary. Interment will be in Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery.
