Rozanne Louise Williams

Rozanne (Shann) Louise Williams, 81, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026 surrounded by family and pure love. Shann was born on January 21, 1945 in Wheaton, Minnesota to John Elmer and Hilma Adelia Nelson. Shann loved being a "Minnesotan" and fondly relayed many happy stories growing up there.

Shann had a lifelong passion for music and the arts which was showcased by her amazing talent as a pianist and music teacher. She shared her love of music with others; teaching piano throughout her entire life. Shann loved sharing her musical talents with many local congregations over the years and most recently serving as a dedicated pianist at Mulvane United Methodist Church. Shann also cherished working alongside her husband during high school marching band competitions, where she spent many years instructing the flag corp. Beyond music, she had a vibrant artistic spirit and loved painting, drawing, and coloring-always bringing her own unique, creative touch to everything she made. Above all, Shann was known for her quick smile, her playful sense of humor, a wee bit of orneriness and always making holiday gatherings truly special and unforgettable for her family.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 48 years, Jay Richard Williams, her parents Elmer and Adelia and brothers John and Jim.

Shann is survived by her two sons, who loved her dearly, Alan (Jennifer) Williams and Mikal (Cammie) Williams; grandchildren, Anthony (Megan) Williams, Joshua Williams, Victoria Williams, AJay Shelley and Ashlee Biegler.

A Celebration of Shann's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Mulvane United Methodist Church, 107 S. Central Ave., Mulvane, Kansas 67110.
