Roy Eugene Tate, 67, of Udall, KS passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on January 20, 1953 in Quincy, IL.
Roy served in the United States Marine Corps from 1970 to 1974 and went on to serve 35 years as a firefighter, dedicating his life to protecting others. He retired as Chief, from the Boeing Fire Department in 2013.
In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley, restoring cars, spending time with his family, spoiling his grandchildren & dogs, and playing Santa. He was a great cook; famous for his biscuits and gravy (albeit, don’t ask him for his recipes). He was a proud Father and Papa, never passing up an opportunity to brag on his children/grandchildren. His big personality, jokes and pranks were always the blueprint for fun and laughter.
