Derby - Glenn Grimsley, 76, passed away May 14, 2025 in Derby, Kansas. He was born September 26, 1948 to James Benton and Pearl Onie Grimsley in Upton, Kentucky. Glenn moved to Kansas when he was 13 years old. He graduated from South East High School in 1967. After graduation, Glenn worked for Bond Baking Co. before starting his career at Rainbo.
He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, gambling, deer hunting, and getting together with friends and family. Glenn was empolyeed with Rainbo Baking Company from February of 1969 and retired in February of 2014.
He was preceded in death by parents; son, Steven Grimsley; daughter, Crystal Grimsley; brother, Thomas Grimsely; and sister, Judy Winn.
Glenn is survived by wife of 47 years, Shirley; son, Darin (Kim) Grimsley; former son-in-law, Todd Fritzler; siblings-in-law; Sheryl (Pat) Michaud, Dale (Sharrid) Girard, Bob (Colleen) Girard, Denise (Dan) Moe, Michelle Jackle, Jeff (Mary) Girard, Melinda (Kenny) Wheeler; cousins, Dixie Grimsley, Dave Blakeman, Linda Salleng, Wanda (Ray) Umbel, Doris Goodman; and many niece and nephews.
Visitation: 5-8pm Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd, Derby, Kansas. Rosary: 10am Thursday, May 22, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Mass: 10:30 am Thursday, May 22, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Derby. Interment to follow at El Paso Cemetery.
