Ronald W. Pittman, 84, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on April 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, character and faith. A hard-working entrepreneur and public servant, he represented his community in the Georgia House of Representatives, served as Mayor of Electra, Texas, and served on the City Council for Duluth, Georgia where he raised his kids.

Ronald is survived by his children, Shaun Pittman and Heather Hamda; his grandchildren, Yasmeen Hamda and Maya Hamda; and his siblings, Paul, Judy, Susan, Dale and Janet. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rod and Dolly Pittman.

Ronald spent his career as an engineer in the Technology field, bringing his problem-solving skills to his profession. He was an inventor who was granted a Patent for a rapid battery charger by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He served his country in the Kansas Air National Guard and dedicated himself to public service through his government roles in the State of Georgia and the State of Texas. Throughout his life, he embodied the spirit of hard work and service to others.

Ronald's life was rooted in his Christian faith. He was a man of steady work and purpose, dedicated to service—both in his professional career and in his roles serving his communities. His resourcefulness and ability to solve problems defined him throughout his life.

Ronald found joy in flying and maintaining his own small planes. He was also a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas State Wildcats. Whether in the air, in his workshop, or cheering for his teams, he pursued his interests with the same commitment and enthusiasm he brought to everything he did.

Ronald's life exemplified intelligence paired with hard work and a kind heart. His contributions to his profession, his communities, and his family reflect a man who gave generously of himself. He will be remembered for his dedication, his resourcefulness, and his quiet strength—a life well-lived in service to others.

Graveside services 1pm Friday, May 1, 2026, at Littleton Cemetery south of Mulvane.
