Ronal D. Johnson

Ronal D. Johnson, 66, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017. He was born December 22, 1950 to William and Pat (Bortz) Johnson, Jr. in Preston, KS. Ronal enjoyed hunting and fishing. He retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years of service and then worked at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center where he retired as Chief of Police in 1993. Ronal was a member of the Mulvane Masonic Lodge and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Jackie Sue Johnson. Ronal is survived by his children, William James Johnson and Jessica Johnson; brother, Roger Lee (Linda) Johnson; and a host of extended family and friends. Memorial service: 10 am, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Smith Family Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd., Mulvane, KS 67110. Inurnment to follow at Littleton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 136, 410 SE Louis Dr., Mulvane, KS 67110 to go towards their Avenue of Flags program.
