Robin Ray

March 13, 1949 — December 25, 2020

Robin Ray passed away Christmas Day at Wesley Medical Center, succumbing to COVID-19. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Erin Michelle Ray; father, Robert Gibson Ray; mother, Marvaline Joyce Ray (Bannon); and brother, Arlyn Deen Ray. Survivors include his sister Marcy Ray of Wichita and brother, Terrill Ray of Alexandria, VA. He graduated in 1967 from Haysville Campus High School. As was customary of the times, Robin was inducted into the army on May 28, 1969 and proudly served his country in Vietnam. In 1974 he joined the VFW where he served in numerous positions at post, district and state levels. A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021, noon - 4pm, at Smith Mortuary in Haysville. A graveside service will take place at 2pm on Tuesday, January 5th, at the Douglass Kansas Cemetery. The family asks that you wear a mask and socially distance. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a monetary gift be given to VFW Post 6957; P. O. Box 123; Haysville, Kansas 67060.
