It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Robin Carol (Olmsted) Patterson (Derby/Wichita), age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16th after a courageous battle with Cancer.
Robin dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was known for her quick wit, infectious humor, strong work ethic and graceful dance moves that could light up any room. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched.
Robin is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Patterson; father, Ramon Olmsted; mother, Barbara Timmer; brother, Stephen Olmsted, and sister, Mona Kay Olmsted.
Robin is survived by her two daughters, Lindsay Brokschmidt of Wichita, Megan Powell of Garden Plain and six grandchildren: Kayla King, Kinsey Gleeson, Braylon and Boston Brokschmidt and Layla and Zeplyn Powell. Two sisters, Marsha Olmsted of Wichita, Pam Olmsted of Andover and a brother, Todd Olmsted (Julie) of Derby and many dear friends who were blessed to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N Rock road, Derby, KS 67037. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to share memories of a life that truly made the world a better place. Though we will miss Robin dearly, we take comfort in knowing her love stays with us. Always missed never forgotten.
