Robin Hull

Robin Kay Hull, 71, passed away on September 26, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born June 13, 1955 in Keshena, Wisconsin, the daughter of Jerry Preston Sr. and Julia Wynos Preston. Robin was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend who greeted everyone with a beaming smile, a playful spirit, and a natural gift for offering a warm hug or a helping hand. A selfless, devoted mom and homemaker, she took immense joy in making sure everyone was well fed—mastering the art of making "more with less," baking incredible pies from scratch, and cooking and sharing her legendary fry bread.

Her hands were never idle. She poured creative love into intricate cross-stitch, beautiful handmade clothes, and detailed beadwork. Beyond the home, Robin embraced life with boundless enthusiasm: she loved to dance, travel, attend church, cultivate ornate cacti, and listen to music from her treasured record collection. She found special happiness attending powwows, capturing vibrant photographs of dancers, regalia, and the Grand Entry, and was known for her playful spirit, quirky socks, and devotion to her beloved cat, Toonces.

Above all, Robin loved her family fiercely, always putting them first and instilling strength, kindness, and confidence in those she guided. The tremendous outpouring of love and support from the community in preparing her service reflects the countless lives she touched. Robin brought immeasurable warmth and joy into our world, and she will be deeply and greatly missed.

Robin is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles David Hull; and brothers, Daryl Preston and Jerry Preston Jr.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Medlin, Daniel (Spring) Hull, Justin Hull; grandchildren, Sasha Hull, Carmen Hull, Isobel Hull, Kimewan Hull, Hannah Hull, Ely Hull; siblings, Melvin (Jane) Preston, Julie (Scott) Palmer, Ronnie Preston, Roberta (Pat) Tourtillott, Daniel Preston and by numerous nieces and nephews.

A public visitation will be held from noon to 2 pm on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, Wichita, Kansas 67213. A service will begin right after visitation at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with expenses.
