Roberta "Bobbie" Evelyn Yandell, born on February 7, 1936,and life-long resident of Derby, KS, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the age of 90.

Roberta was born at the Salvation Army Booth Memorial Hospital in Wichita, KS, and adopted by Robert and Alda Bessette. She graduated high school in 1953 from Garden City,KS.

On July 6, 1963, she married Lyman Yandell. They spent 26 years together raising a family in Derby, KS.

Bobbie worked at Bombardier Learjet from 1992 to 2012. She was best known as "Bobbie in the Lobby" and for her world-famous home-made cookies. She also worked and was a charter member of the Kansas Aviation Museum since the 1990s. She enjoyed aviation, many hobbies and was very creative. Her crafty creations were given or donated to others.

She was involved with the Kansas Pond Society in Derby, KS, where her garden and koi pond were featured on the pond tourfor several years.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lyman.

Bobbie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her son Michael (Barbara) Yandell, daughter Dian Yandell-Stelter, grandchildren Garrett, Josh, and Ethan.

Cremation was chosen and a private family celebration of life will held at a later date.
