DERBY – Baird, Robert Lee II, age 61, Boeing Company/Spirit Aerosystems employee and retired Kansas Army National Guard SSgt, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. Visitation 1-5 PM Wednesday with family receiving friends 1-5 PM, Smith Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 10 AM Thursday, Faith Lutheran Church, 214 S. Derby Avenue. Graveside service 1:30 PM Thursday, Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery, Winfield. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Clorine Baird; and a sister, Kathleen Sue Heinrich. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Marlene; son, Daniel, both of Derby; brother, Richard (Amy), Atascadero, CA; and sisters, Patricia Scott (Lowell), Mound Valley, KS, Nancy Moore (Richard), Sapulpa, OK.
