Robbie Haynes, 58, of Wichita Kansas, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on November 11, 1965, Rob was a man of deep faith, exemplifying love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, throughout his life. Rob’s greatest joy was his family. He shared a profound and unconditional love with his wife, Kerry, and their children: Josef Adam Hamilton, Joshua Haynes, Lacey Haynes, and Kara Haynes-McGriff. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Kenton Conway, Levi Conway, and Eleanor Hamilton, who brought him immense happiness. A proud graduate with a Bachelor's degree, Rob dedicated over 30 years to Kansas Gas Service, where he forged lifelong bonds with his work family. Following his retirement, he spent five fulfilling years with the United Steel Workers, a position he approached with passion and dedication.
An avid motorcyclist, Rob loved riding his Harley, especially on long trips through the beautiful Ozarks during the fall. His other passions included fishing, camping, and cooking for his family, with his famous street tacos being a standout favorite. Rob is survived by his loving wife, Kerry Haynes; his children; and grandchildren. He is also survived by his father, Leroy Haynes, and son-in-laws Javonte McGriff and Matthew Walker, as well as his daughter-in-law, Jessica Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Fines, and his sister, Robin.
