Williams, Ricky D, 73, retired Senior Field Inspector for Underwriters Laboratory, won the ultimate battle to be with the love of his life Carol and his lord and Savior on 8/29/2021.


Rick was a faithful husband, amazing Dad, proud Grandpa, a loyal family member and friend, and a proud member of the Wheatstate Falcon Car Club.


He was born on March 5th, 1948 in Fort Scott to T.L. and Wilma Williams.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Loving Wife Carol Ann Mordhorst Williams; Step-Father Keith Baker; In-Laws: Leslie and Norma Mordhorst, Steve Mordhorst, Paul Mordhorst, Barbara Mordhorst, Roger Pearson; and Niece Ronda Pearson.


He is survived by his children, Christina and Dan Squires, Aaron and Cassie Williams; grandchildren. Alec Williams, Crew and Emery Squires, Ann Williams; siblings, Sondra Pearson, Terry and Donna Williams, Glenda and Dean Straub and his faithful dog Jezebel.


He had numerous family members scattered all over the United States that he loved and prayed for daily. He claimed “His Girls” as his own: Kimberly Luckert, Christa and Brian Leis, and Christy and Travis Diffenbaugh and his second son Norman and Ronda Champanier.


Visitation 1-8 pm Thursday, September 9, 2021 with family present 5-7 pm at Smith Mortuary, Derby. Graveside service Friday September 10, 2021 10:00 AM at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Winfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Erins Hope.
