DERBY – Petersen, Ricky Jay, age 62, retired Rainbows United employee, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013. Visitation 1-8 PM Sunday with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, Funeral Service 2 PM Monday, December 23, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Following the service cremation will be effected and inurnment of his cremated remains will take place at El Paso Cemetery, Derby. Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Bob. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Sandy; son, J Robert, Wichita; daughters, Martha, Wichita, and Jennifer, Augusta; mother, Verna, Clinton, IA; brother, Gene (Nancy), Clinton, IA; grandchildren, Gavin, Emily, Blake and Canyon; several nieces and nephews.
