It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ricky Wayne Denton, a loving husband, devoted father and cherished friend, who passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025 at the age of 67.

Ricky was born July 1,1957, to Eugene and Billie Denton in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Ricky was a dedicated engineer that worked for Boeing Company for 33 years until he become a contract engineer for another 8 years for Boeing. Ricky was married to the love of his life Terri in 1987 in Wichita, Kansas. They had one son, Nick, who followed in his father’s footsteps in becoming an engineer.

Ricky found great joy in traveling with his family to Mexico where he enjoyed scuba diving and sight-seeing. Under the water is where he found great joy and a tranquil calm.

He is preceded in death by both parents Eugene and Billie Denton. He is survived by his wife, Terri; son, Nick ; brother, Randy Denton; sister, Christy Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Smith Family Mortuary 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
