Richard David Thomson

Richard David Thomson, 61, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Memorial service 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn. Survived by father and step-mother Harold “Tommy” and Glenita Thomson; brother Ryan Thomson of Enid, Okla. and sister Rhonda (Roy) Hayes of Derby; niece Heather (Joey) Scheid; and great-nephew R.D. Scheid. Rich loved to walk around town, listen to classical music, and was a Deacon at First Metropolitan Community Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with First Metropolitan Community Church, 156 S. Kansas, Wichita, KS 67211.
