Born Dec.17th, 1946 to Richard and Hermina Steinke went to be with the Lord on Dec 24th, 2025. Richard grew up on family farm outside of Schulte, Ks. He graduated from Goddard High School then joined the US Navy. Then he returned from service to be employed at US Postal Service until retirement. He married his wife, Marilyn Steinke, on Nov. 29th, 1985. Together they raised three children. Richard enjoyed all of his family, casinos with his wife, KC Chiefs, and love listening to his favorite music from the Beatles. Richard survive many health challenges through the years but always remained thankful and and blessed of the life the Lord had given him. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Hermina Steinke, son-in-law Dan Bishop.
Survived by his wife Marilyn Steinke of Wichita. Daughters; Marsha Bishop(wichita), Jessica Clabaugh(Bill) Valley Center, Son; Nick(Marissa) Wilson of Wichita, Ks. Brother; Ron (Elaine) Steinke of Clearwater, Ks. Brother- in-law; Kelly (Cheryl) McIntosh of Wichita. 9 grandchildren; Mary(Sean)Franks, Emiley(Zeb)Edson, Elizabeth(David) Dorsey, Zachary(Morgan) Bishop, Madison(Triston)Epperso n, Ashleigh Ortiz, Mickenzie Bishop, Regan, Bishop, and youngest Sofia Willson. Also blessed with 14 great grandchildren; Lane, Alexis, Peyton, Tanner, Conner, Arya, Brooklyn, Antonio, Amelia, Aeden, Dean, Gracie, Weston, and Kinsley. Nieces and Nephews; Heather, Collin, Steven and Michael.
Visitation will be 5 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, Jan. 1st at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, Wichita. Services to be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton on Friday Jan. 2nd at 10:30am. Rosary will be held at 10:00am on Friday, Jan 2nd prior to services. Burial will be held at Winfield Veteran Cemetery in Winfield, Ks.
