Richard P. Norrod

ROSE HILL - Norrod, Richard “Dick”, age 73, retired USAF and retired Civil Service employee, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 in Rose Hill. He was born May 19, 1941 in Akron, OH, the son of James and Settie (Sullivan) Norrod. On May 17, 1969 he married Lavonda Bates at Otis Air Force Base in Cape Cod, MA. Memorial service will be Monday, December 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Pleasantview Baptist Church, 1335 N. Buckner, Derby, KS 67037. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald; a sister, Agnus Butler; nephews, Donald and James. He is survived by his wife, Lavonda; son, Richard (Julie); grandchildren, Kyrie McKee, Clayton and Kendall Norrod all of Wichita; nephews, Mark and Gary Norrod; niece, Sherry Norrod.
