Richard Baxter Calhoun

Richard B. Calhoun, Age 97, died Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Maria Court in Mulvane. He was born July 6, 1922, in Ravenna, Nebraska. He graduated from Ravenna High School in 1941 and entered the US Army Air Corps August 26, 1941 and was discharged December 4, 1945. After his discharge he attended the University of Nebraska and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Boeing for many years. He married Ann Skallberg and she preceded him in death. Survivors include children Mary Kuhn, Cathy Lovett, Tom Calhoun, Greg Calhoun, and grandchildren Christina Greer, Marlayna Kuhn, Cory Meadows, Jennifer Meadows, Wesley Calhoun, Malachi Calhoun and sister, Pat Sherlock, as well as four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings Lenore Jameson, Robert Calhoun, Kelly Faurote, Charles Calhoun, and son Freddie Calhoun.

Funeral Service 2:00 pm, Monday, April 20, 2020, at Smith Mortuary - Mulvane 501 SE Louis Blvd., Mulvane, KS 67110 with interment to follow at El Paso Cemetery in Derby, Kansas.
