74, passed away Thursday, May 9th, 2024. He was born January 2nd, 1950 to William Babinger and Shirley (Bower) Babinger in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Rick was a member of the U.S. Air Force and a Vietnam Veteran. Rick was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and shared his love for the game by coaching and volunteering for youth football programs. Rick was an integral member of American Legion Post 136 Mulvane, KS for 21 years. During this time Rick served 5 terms as Post Commander, and was an original member of the Patriot Guard. Rick volunteered countless hours and dedicated his time and effort toward supporting the veterans of our great nation.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Shirley (Bower) Babinger; brother, William Babinger

Rick is survived by his wife, Karen (Bissell) Babinger; children, Shannon (Rene) Boucher, Jonathan (Katharina) Babinger; grandchildren, Reed, Connor, Aubrey; sister, Betsy (John) Nordbye
