Rex B. Scott

Scott, Rex B., age 89, retired Beech assembly worker, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Visitation 1-8pm Friday with family present 5-7pm at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Funeral service 10am Saturday at West Side Christian Church, 1819 W. Douglas. Rex served as a Marine for WWII in the Pacific Theatre and was a long time member of West Side Christian Church. He was a skilled inventor with interests in many things, he enjoyed gardening, reading and took great joy in his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dana and Agnes Scott; brother, Arden Scott. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margie Scott; children, Sharon Matthews, Mark (Alison) Scott, Linda (Dan) Knupp; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gilbert (Ethel) Scott, Gaye (Tom) Groene and Joyce (Dean) Hollenbeck. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church.
