Mulvane - Wells, Rebecca J.
Born March 28, 1965, to Barbara and Clayton Wells in Iola, KS.
Rebecca grew up surrounded by family, with many of her fondest memories tied to horseback riding. From an early age, she found joy in riding horses, and one of her favorite pastimes was taking the horses to the pond with her siblings, where they would jump off the backs into the water and later engage in playful mud fights. Her love for horses and riding quickly grew, eventually leading her into the rodeo world. Known for her fierce competitive spirit, Rebecca became a trophy-winning queen, admired for her strong will and professionalism. She was a true free spirit. Alongside her brother and mother, she performed as a trick rider, a role that took them on many exciting adventures.
As an adult, Rebecca worked diligently to provide for her family. She spent many years as a grocery manager at Dillons and also worked as a dealer at the Kansas Star Casino. Despite all her accomplishments, she always considered her greatest achievement to be raising her two children and, later in life, cherishing her time with her beautiful granddaughter, Lucy Mae.
Rebecca passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday morning, March 10, 2025, at the age of 59.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Pace; her father, Clayton Wells; her sister, Cindy Wells; and her grandson, Theodore McBratney.
Rebecca is survived by her children, Dalton Miller, Samantha and Blake McBratney; her granddaughter, Lucy McBratney; her siblings, Dee Bombagi and Randy Wells; her niece, Kayla Bombagi; and her stepfather, Harold Pace.
