Rebecca “Becky” Smyth, 56, went home to glory on July 20, 2016. Becky loved the Lord with all her heart and showed His love, grace, and mercy to all she met. She and husband, Dean, celebrated 32 years of perfect, blissful marriage in June. She was his best friend. With him, she raised two strong and beautiful daughters, Rachel and Emily. Becky loved singing with the preschool kids at South Rock Christian Church, cheering on the Royals, and making food for anyone who needed it. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys Clayton. Survivors include: husband, Dean Smyth; two daughters, Rachel Marie Nordgren and husband Hans, and Emily Jiao Smyth; four sisters, Kathryn Thayer and husband Michael, Mary Blackburn and husband John, Sandra Pinaire and husband Ron, and Jan Privett. Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016 at South Rock Christian Church, 900 S. Rock Rd, Derby. The family requests that people wear bright colors to celebrate the radiance of Becky’s life.
