Reanna Deyan Buscato Hinshaw

Hinshaw (Reanna) Rei, 15, passed away on May 26, 2026. Rei was born in Wichita, Kansas on May 28, 2010.

Rei was an exceptional artist and had recently placed both 1st and 2nd simultaneously at the FHSU 2026 Annual High School Art Exhibition and Art Day. Rei thoroughly enjoyed creating music and would play songs from favorite video games. Had an affinity for music that was evident as a self-taught pianist and could play by ear. Overall, Rei was incredibly skilled when it came to creating pieces of art in multiple mediums that expressed who they were and how they felt. Rei enjoyed playing video games with friends and siblings as well as opening and collecting Pokemon Cards. Rei loved sharks, red pandas, and fat birds and would collect plushies of them. Rei came out to family and friends as trans in July of 2025 and requested to be referred to with he/him pronouns. Although Rei struggled with internal conflict and identity, he would always make sure to comfort friends and family wholeheartedly, offering perfect words of comfort to others even though he needed it the most.

 Was preceded in death by, Grandparents, Harold and Dorothy Hinshaw; and Grandmother, Victoria Visaya Buscato.

 Rei is survived by his grandfather Sancho Buscato; parents, Dennis and Renee Hinshaw; brother, Ramil Hinshaw; sister, Desiree Hinshaw and her significant other Joe Mazzara; partner, Keaton Kile; and many cherished friends and loved ones.

 A visitation will be held from 5pm - 7pm on Friday, June 5, 2026. Funeral service is 10am Saturday, June 6, 2026; both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road, Derby, Kansas 67037.
