Raymond G. York

HAYSVILLE- York, Raymond George, 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 15, 2021. Visitation 2pm to 5 pm on Sunday, 21st Feb. at Smith Mortuary in Haysville; service 1:30pm Monday, 22nd of February at Resurrection Lutheran Church, Haysville. Raymond was born in Dodge City, KS on December 25, 1940 to George E. and Viola York. On November 22, 1958 he married his sweetheart Virginia L. Wittig. He was employed at Via Christi Regional Medical Center St. Joseph Campus for 36 years; he started out as a carpenter and then promoted to Supervisor of Maintenance Engineering. He retired and kept working on his rental properties and volunteered at the church when he had spare time. Raymond was a loving, caring, thoughtful hardworking husband, father and great and grandfather. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents and his sweetheart Virginia. Survivors: sons, Michael (Lisa), Haysville, Bruce (Kathy), Derby, Daran (Dena), Viola, Sherri Bearden (Tom), Haysville; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
