Raymond Edward Sumpter, age 78, of Mulvane. retired Kansas Air National Guard supervisor, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016. Funeral service 11 AM Tuesday, with family receiving friends beginning at 10 AM, Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd, Mulvane. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Lee & Rheta Sumpter; and a sister, Betty Lee Sumpter. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Vivian; daughters, Connie Johnson (Ron), of Shawnee, OK, Martha Pint (Corey), of Wichita, Theresa Reeves, of Edwardsville, KS; sister, Carolyn Duhon (Joe), of Kingman; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
