Raymond A. Lamone

Lamone, Raymond, 89, former owner of Lamone Liquor, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Visitation today 1-5, at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Trisagion and funeral service 7 pm tonight at St. Mary Orthodox Church, 344 S. Martinson. Graveside service 11:15 Friday, at Old Mission Mausoleum. Raymond was a lifetime member of St. Mary Orthodox Church. He was also a WWII Veteran, serving as a Sergeant in the Army, 81st Infantry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola “Sis;” parents Moses and Rosa Lamone; siblings George Lamone, Mabel Ellis, Josephine Lamone, and Amelia Shaheen. Survived by daughter Susan Rae Lamone; granddaughter Stephanie Rae Lamone; sisters Esther Henry and Mona Kaleel; numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved poodle, Cuddles. A memorial has been established with St. Mary Orthodox Church.
