Raymond Leon Hartley

Hartley, Raymond Leon, 69, loving husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012. Ray was a Naval Veteran (BMSN 3) of the Vietnam War, Wichita Police Department Crime Scene Investigator, and a retired procurement agent at Boeing. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Thursday, August 9. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Interment 2 pm at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery in Winfield. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Verda Hartley. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Rose; children Michelle (Kevin) Dory, Kevin (Melanie) Hartley, Alison Hartley; children by marriage, Ronda (Shawn) Hutchinson, and Jodi (Jason) Smith; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and brothers Jerry (Linda) Hartley and Gary (Jennifer) Hartley.
