Randy Morris

Morris, Randall Jack “RJ”

Born August 11, 1952, in Wichita, Kansas. He passed on October 18, 2024, at home with family at the age of 72, in Derby, Kansas.

He was born to parents, Jack and Wanda (Stanberry) Morris. Later they resided in Scottsdale, Arizona, where they lived for many years due to Randy’s severe allergies.

Coming back home to live in Wichita, Randy enrolled in WSU and obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration. He excelled in his field working at Cessna, Boeing, and retired from Spirit AeroSystems as a computer systems analysist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Wanda, his beloved daughter, Angela Behrens.

RJ is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Debra “Debi” Morris; daughter, Kimberly (Mark) Sinclair; niece, Elizabeth (Jason) Cain, all of Derby, Kansas; grandsons, Logan Wiehn, Caleb (Courtney) Wright, Clayton (Kacy) Pierce, Dalton (Arinea) DiPaola, Cash Wood, Luke Wood; and three great-grandchildren.

He loved music, fishing, pinball and was a supporter of WSU sports. He and his wife, Debi, loved to travel and explore new adventures together.

Randy loved to share his knowledge of what he knew of the world with logic, patience and kindness. He was a generous humanitarian in his community. He was love and respected by many.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Friday, October 25th, 2024, at Smith Family Mortuary 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Interment to follow at Old Mission Cemetery at 12pm.
