Ralph J. Wright, 90, WWII Army Veteran, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017. He was born January 4, 1927 in Pratt, KS to Ralph and Ola Jane (Gray) Wright. Ralph retired from Boeing in 1970. He was a photographer, historian, and Mulvane City Councilman. Ralph was instrumental in founding the Mulvane Historical Museum. He was an active member of Westside Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Janel Ebersole and Donna Dunbar. Ralph is survived by his wife of 66 years, Martha Wright; children, Roger (Debbie) Wright, Jeanne Fain, Philip (Diane) Wright, and Lori (Mike) Clasen; sister, Marjorie (Jim) Tiner; grandchildren, Chuck, Justin, Lane, Jeremy, Erin, Jamie, PJ, Michael, Mario, and Sara; and 25 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Monday, 3 to 8 pm with family present between 5 and 7 pm. Funeral: 2 pm, Tuesday, January 24, 2017; both at Smith Family Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd., Mulvane, KS 67110. Interment to follow at Mulvane Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mulvane Historical Museum, 300 W. Main St., Mulvane, KS 67110 or the Kansas Honor Flight, P.O. Box 2371, Hutchinson, KS 67504.
