Phyllis Joanne Grow

Phyllis J. Grow (Becker, Showalter), 97, passed away on October 5, 2026. She was born May 5, 1929, to Fred J. and Lola Mae Becker. She is the eldest of three. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde "Bob" Grow; both parents; her brother, Fred Jr.; and her sister, Darlene.

Phyllis retired from Montgomery Wards in Wichita, Kansas, after marrying Bob Grow, as an A&B line merchandiser. Upon Bob's retirement from Boeing, they traveled overseas to many locations. He had overflown in WWII as a Bomber Pilot. She loved doing genealogy research on these trips and found connection throughout Europe. Phyllis was always pleasant and proper to everyone she met and set the bar on how to treat people through example, to the very end.

Come-and-go visitation will be on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
