Penelope "Penny" Higdon

Penelope (Penny) Higdon, 74, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026 at her home in Derby, KS. She was born April 3, 1952 to Ralph and Alice Lewis in St. Louis, Missouri.

Penny was a dedicated and proud Chrysler UAW local 136 employee of 38 years. She enjoyed doing charity work with Juvenile Diabetes foundation and Adopt A Child. Penny was a proud and loving wife, mother, Aunt, Grandmother and dear friend.

She was Preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ralph Higdon, Jr.; sisters, Marla Crump and Lisa Turner.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Ralph, Sr.; children; Brandy (Jason) Russell; stepdaughter, Jerri Beaver; sister, Diane Usselton; grandchildren, Austin, Marissa, Miley, Morgan, Shania; great grandchildren, Greyson, Matthew, Emmett, Sunni, Madilynn and Hazel.

A Celebration of Life to be held in her hometown of DeSoto, MO at a later date.
