Pauline Rose Skinner, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 25, surrounded by the love of her family.
Pauline lived a long and meaningful life defined by devotion to her family and the simple joys of caring for others. One of her greatest passions was making peanut brittle, cakes and sugar cookies to share with others.
On July 16, 1952, Pauline married Cornelius Skinner and lived in the small town of Two Buttes, Colorado before moving to Derby, KS in 1957.
Pauline is survived by her children, Jeff (Sherry) Skinner and Shelly (Norm) McGeeney; her grandchildren, Jeff McGeeney, Christina (Clint) Gifford, Katie (Connor) Smith, Laura Skinner, and Whitney Skinner; and her seven great-grandchildren, Shawn Perren, Bobbi Gifford, Grace Gifford, Isaiah Gifford, Michael Gifford, Gentry Smith, Casen Smith, Leah Jane McGeeney and Ellis McGeeney. She took great pride in her growing family and treasured every moment spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and her loving parents, Joe and Minnie Rose.
Pauline will be remembered for the endless love she poured out to her children and grandchildren, and her genuine loving personality. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation 5-7pm Wednesday, January 28, with funeral services 10am Thursday, January 29, all at Smith Family Mortuary in Derby. Interment will follow in El Paso Cemetery. A memorial is established with Good Shepherd Hospice.
