Paul Joseph Montague

Major Paul J. Montague, 85, passed away on October 24, 2019. He was born October 3, 1934 in Anthony, Kansas. A memorial service will be held on November 8, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road, Derby, Kansas. Paul served his country honorably as a Marine in both the Korean War and Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He did multiple tours of duty and was a POW for 5 years after being shot down in Vietnam. Paul was awarded many medals during his Marine days including several Purple Hearts, the Bronze Star and Silver Star.

Paul is survived by his wife of 63 years, 3 children, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
