Paul Daly Canada Courson

Paul Daly “Chief” Canada Courson, age 79, passed away June 18th 2017. He served as a U.S. Marine from 1955-1958, was a Boeing employee from 1977-1993 and actively involved with the Oriental Band Midian Shrine since 1978. A Memorial service will be held at 3:30pm on Thursday, June 22nd with a visitation prior to service from 1-3pm, both held at the Smith Mortuary – Haysville, 7031 S. Broadway. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Nellie Courson; sons, Gordon and Michael Shane; great-grandaughter, Shyenne Posch; father and mother-in-law, David and Vivian Shew; brothers in-law, Bob and Willie Shew; brother, Duane Canada. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sister, Kathy Courson (Vernon) Stienberger; son, Lance (Holli), daughters, Krista (Larry) Cranmer, Shanon (Daren) Ashley, Robin (Jon) Scheminske; grandchildren, Danielle (Jesse) Harmon, Erika (Victor) Posch, Steven (Sarah) Courson, Reece and Riley Courson, Paul Andrew (Angie) Courson, Misty (Justin) Courson, Amber and DJ Ashley, Rebecca (Roy) Terry, Andrew Scheminske; great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Tristin, Tricia, and Aaron Harmon, Serenity Posch, Stormy, Shane and Summer Courson, Matthew Genge, Maleah, and on the way, Baby Boy Robeson, Paisley and Mason Terry, Landon, Wyatt, Colton, and Aaliyah Scheminske; including all of the numerous family and friends that Paul’s life touched, “I am with you still”. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is with the Midian Shrine Temple: Children’s Hospital at 130 N Topeka St, Wichita, KS 67202.
