Patsy Ann Harrison

September 6, 1930 — May 13, 2024

Patsy was born on September 6, 1930 in Wichita, Kansas and passed away on May 13, 2024 at the age of 93.


Patsy graduated Wichita East High School and Friends University; she was a Kindergarten teacher with the Wichita Public Schools for 30 years. She taught at Booth and Stearman Elementaries and loved that she was able to teach the children of her previous Kindergartners. Patsy lived in Wichita until 1983 and then she and Gene moved to Elberta AL where they lived until returning to Derby KS in 2004. Patsy was a talented cross-stitcher having won ribbons at the Kansas State Fair and was a longtime member of the Needle Arts of Wichita chapter of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America.


Predeceased by her parents Sylvester and Leola Dennett and her husband of 50 years, Robert E (Gene) Harrison.


She is survived by her daughter Kim (Allan) Gattis of Derby KS and stepson Robert D (Cynthia) Harrison of Elberta AL; Five Grandchildren-Blake (Jessica) Hewitt of Wichita KS, Oliver Gattis of Derby KS , Candice (Keith) Bass, Drew Harrison, and Brett (Ashley) Harrison of Elberta AL; Five Great Grandchildren-Henry Hewitt, Quentin Qualls, Renn Bass, Adeline Harrison, Grant Harrison; and her beloved Chihuahua Lefty.


Patsy's father and husband were both Shriners and the organization was important to her, in lieu of flowers Patsy had requested donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
