Orville Chew went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 1, 2021, at the age of 92. Orville was born on June 7, 1929 in Anderson, Missouri to Paul and Gladys (Whitaker) Chew. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, his parents, his brother, Bob Chew, infant brother Glen Arthur Chew and daughter-in-law, Connie Chew. He is survived by two sons: Richard (Coralee) Chew, and Gary (Julie) Chew; 7 grandchildren: Julia, Robin, Garrison, Landon, Erica, Caitlin and Joseph; 3 great-grandchildren; longtime special friend, Ava Sims and many other family members and friends. He was raised in southwest Missouri and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Following his four years in the Navy, he worked for Cessna Aircraft for 33+ years. Orville leaves his family and friends a legacy of loving God, serving the church and being a dependable Christian. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Mulvane Public Library, 408 N. 2nd St., Mulvane, Kansas 67110. Visitation will be from 8-11am at Smith Family Mortuary - Mulvane, Kansas on Monday, December 6, 2021, followed by a graveside service at 1pm, Littleton Cemetery, Mulvane, Kansas.
