A beloved Husband, Brother, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, 72, passed away January 9, 2018. He was born July 13, 1946 to Orland J and BonnaDean (Jefferies) Stevens in Cherokee, OK.

Dean graduated from East High School 1964 where he lettered in football, baseball, and track & field then he attended Wichita State University. He served in the United States Army (6 years) during the Vietnam War.

Dean was a Master of the Royal Secret of the 32 Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in 1993. He made not only a career, but lifelong friends in the over 45 year career in commercial lending with multiple financial institutions. His reputation would precede him as a great man of character, integrity, and general moral and ethical standards. Avid outdoors man, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, coaching Little League and was a landowner. He was quick to make a friend, and he developed many deep and lasting friendships,

He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece Hanna Clark.

Orlan is survived by his wife, Cathy Stevens and brother, Doug (Toni) Stevens; children: Bryan (Carrie) Loos, Shawn (Heather) Loos, Linda Kay, David, Elliott (Kristi) Stevens, Cathy (Paul) Brzazinski , Doug Stevens; 17 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grand Children; 9 Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Friday 1/12/18, from 1 pm to 8 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Funeral Service: 1 pm, Saturday 1/13/18 at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N.
