Marciele Hicks, 95, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017. She was born July 8, 1922 to Francis and Estella (McCune) McCluggage in Rose Hill, KS. Marciele was known for her wonderful cooking, beautiful smile, and cheerful attitude. She was a incredible grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leslie Hicks; and all 5 of her siblings. Marciele is survived by her children, Roe (Brenda) Hicks, Marcia (Bruce) Johnson, and Larry (Judith) Hicks; grandchildren, Jonathan Hicks, Charity Hicks, Louie Jordan, Leora (Jonathan) Garcia, Joel (Stephanie) Hicks, and Jon Preston Hicks; and great-granddaughter, Jolie Garcia. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 2nd, 2017 with visitation 1 hour prior at Emporia Avenue Church of Christ, 1144 S. Emporia St., Wichita, KS 67211. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Carpenter Place, 1501 N. Meridian Ave., Wichita, KS 67203.
