Novis Leota Coker, age 85, of Eldorado, KS, formerly of Lovington, NM, retired Lea County Tax Assessor’s Office employee, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at Westview Manor, Derby, KS. Funeral service 2 PM Saturday, First Baptist Church, Lovington, NM. Leota is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil; parents, Daniel & Lucinda Duncan; and brothers, James, Irvin and Lloyd Duncan. Survivors: daughters, Janene Haldeman, Roswell, NM, and Janie (Kevin) Wittorff, Derby, KS; brother, Ralph Duncan, Ada, OK; sister, Justin Lewis, Fittstown, OK; grandchildren, Michael (Deborah) Sumruld, Jody (Jeanellen) Sumruld, Christopher (Maggie) Sumruld, Cory Haldeman, Shae Knox, Cindy (LeRoy) Roduner, and Kyle Wittorff; great-grandchildren, Travis, Amber, Jacob, Forrest, Naura and Autumn Sumruld, Zac and Sheyenne Knox, Melana and Dylan Wittorff.
