Norman Allen Bye, Jr, 69, Derby, KS, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016. He was born October, 24, 1946 in Wichita, KS, the son of Norman A. and Virginia (Audd) Bye, Sr. Norman served in the United States Navy and retired after 20 years and also worked for the Sedgwick County Sheriffs Department 20 years. Survivors include his wife Nancy E. Bye of the home, his children; Susan Bye, Wichita, KS, Shawn Bye (Melissa), Euless, TX, Kimberly Andrewson (Dave), Haysville, KS, Heather Hurley (Brandon), Rocklin, CA, his brothers and sisters, Daniel Bye (Michelle), Wichita, KS, Vonnie Long (Glen) Wichita, KS, Matthew Bye (Becky) Wichita, KS, Darlene Bye, Park City, KS, Rebecca Gebur (Tim) Crystal, MN, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1-5 PM Sunday, February 21st at Smith Family Mortuary, Derby, KS. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday at the chapel. The family suggest memorial contributions to the Sedgwick County Sheriffs Office, Community Programs or Benefits Fund, 114 W. Elm, Wichita, KS 67203.
