Norma Lee Johnson Roll passed away August 23, 2017. She was born in Matfield Green, Kansas. September 30, 1932. Parents Austin M. and Mildred N. Crowell Johnson. She worked twenty nine and a half years as secretary/book keeper for the Kansas Geological Society and was a member of Douglas Avenue Assembly of God. Preceded in death by husband, Floyd Roll; grandson, Jeffery Michael Jones; and her parents; brothers Melvin Jonshon & Richard Johnson. She is survived by son, Mark Roll & Cheryl; daughter,Debbie K. Roll; daughter, Debbie D. Dewitt; son, Darren Dewitt & Tammy; daughter, Darla Hinshaw & Doug; daughter in law, Kelli Bagby;12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Ann Fullen. Her five adopted children filled her life with joy. She spent lots of happy hours playing games and entertaining her grandchildren. She liked making quilts and doing crafts. She was an avid traveler Floyd and Norma spent the winters in Texas. They enjoyed fishing and Norma liked walking on the beach, picking up shells marveling in the beauty and creation of God all around her. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Highlands Child Placement or Douglas Avenue Assembly of God.Visitation will be held at Smith Family Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, Kansas on Sunday 27, 2017 from 2-6pm with family present to greet friends. Funeral Service will be held at Douglas Ave. Assembly of God 4501 W.
