Norma Kessler

Derby - Kessler, Norma Rose, 92, died Wednesday, October 14, 2020.

Norma was born November 27, 1927 in Aurora, CO. She graduated from Lucas High School in 1945. Following graduation she moved to Wichita, where she obtained her beautician's license and then opened a beauty salon in Luray, KS. She married Francis Kessler in 1946. They then moved to Lincoln, KS.

Norma moved with her husband to Colorado Springs in 1967 and worked as a nurse's aide at Penrose Hospital for approximately 20 years. Following her retirement in 1987 they moved to Derby.

Norma and Francis had two children, Marcella Peterson (Clifford) of Derby and Perry Kessler (Jeannene) of Oskaloosa, KS; four grandchildren, Jeffery Peterson, Kevin Peterson (Stephannie), Perry Kessler (Kristen), and Anne Kessler; great grandchildren, Barron Peterson, Merrick Peterson, Rosalyn Peterson, Adam Kessler, and Ethan Kessler.

Graveside Service: 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, eight brothers, and a sister.
