Norma J. Dawson

DERBY- Dawson, Norma J. (Valentine), age 83, homemaker, died Thursday, July 28, 2011. Visitation Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 2 to 7 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby; followed by Rosary service. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 1, at 10:00 a.m., St. Mary Faith Center, 2300 E. Meadowlark, Derby. Norma was an active member of St. Mary Parish since 1964, and former member of the alter society. She graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in elementary education. She was married to Floyd Dawson August 1950. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, daughter, Kathy, and parents John and Madeline Valentine. She is survived by daughter Nancy Chapman, sons Craig and Steve Dawson, grandchildren, Jeremy Chapman, Tabitha and Nick Stout, and great grandchild, Sabrina Chapman, sister Virginia Wilbert of Fair Haven, NJ, and brother John Valentine of the United Kingdom.
